DSE ASSESSMENTS

Computer workstations or equipment can be associated with neck, shoulder, back or arm pain, as well as with fatigue and eyestrain.

Surveys have found that a high proportion of DSE workers report aches, pains or eye discomfort. These aches and pains are sometimes called upper limb disorders (ULDs), which can include a range of medical conditions such as RSI. Most of these conditions do not indicate any serious ill health, but it makes sense to avoid them as far as possible.

That doesn’t mean that DSE work is risky – it isn’t. ULDs can be avoided if users follow effective practice, set up their workstations properly and take breaks during prolonged use. By just taking a few simple precautions, work with DSE can be more comfortable and productive.”

Why choose TRIVIUM ?

Independent  –  Unlike some of the companies offering DSE assessments, we do not have any affiliations with furniture or equipment manufacturers or providers.

Experienced  – Over 10 years of experience conducting DSE assessments.

Saving you time and money  – We always try to adjust current workstation where possible and endeavour to make any required adjustments at the time of the assessment, rather than only write recommendations.

Q: Will I need to purchase new chairs?

A: Very often users’ chairs are not set correctly, and staff doesn’t always know how to adjust their chairs, or what adjustments are available. Adjusting the existing chair, and explaining all functions  to user is very often all it takes to improve their comfort and change their  opinion of the chair, and our assessors will ensure that if the new chair is being recommended it is absolutely necessary.

Q: You are not affiliated with manufacturers and suppliers, does this mean you are unable to help us sourcing the right equipment?

A: No. We still can recommend specific products and help you source suppliers should you wish us to.  But we are not connected to any brand or  supplier and we will always present you with few options to choose from.
